Took A Trip To The Bay

Hello world....... I visited the great town of San Fransisco this weekend.... I must say that I officially love that city and am now heavily considering moving there.... My (now former) next door neighbor needed a little help moving to her new place in Daily City, and so we grabbed a pack or peach Swishers, packed a uhaul and took off up the 101...

Pit stop #1 consisted of oreo Mcflurrys and finding the Vans outlet in Pismo..... In true dirtyCASH style, I tend to not buy stuff unless its on sale... and Outlet shopping is always good to me....... Just like Ross or TJ MAXX, you can find some amazing shit, if you take the time to look..... I found These:

They also had the Steve Cabalerro Sk8 Hi's and the Mike Giant Slip ons (but I didnt get those)..... all for buy one get one half off and they were already marked down.... New Kicks always make a dirt feel great, esp when they are limited and not full price.....

Got in town pretty late..... met up with the homie CeeCee who lives in San Bruno....smoked another blunt and called it a night.....

Saturday woke up, and went for a little tour of the neighborhood... Stopped into a little Vietnamese pho spot for a late breakfast.... I ordered the BBQ pork Bahn Mi... and Erin ordered the Veg-ta-boll eggroll and dry Vermicelli.... Too bad for Erin (a vegan) Vegetable eggroll means pork eggroll in Daily City... So my fat ass got to eat both..... Went around to a few tourist spots... Checked out Haight.. Which I have not done since I was about 11 or 12 years old.... Checked out True and FTC and some head shops..... Saw a bunch of amazing graffiti... fools put it down HARD in SF.... Saw some work from Giant, Reyes, and this dude Klever was up everywherrr....No digital camera to take pictures of all the graff, but I DID take a few pictures with a disposable camera (remember those?) and will get those up as soon as they are developed....

Sunday I went to a Catholic Church (more like a Cathedral) for the first time..Shit was crazy...It was my buddy Seannas Confirmation, and it was a good to be there for support.. and to hear what the Catholic people had to say...... It was held at St Mary's on Gough st...and it was freaking HUGE...

I love San Fransisco... and I love pretty much all big cities.... and I have been feeling very stagnant as of late in Santa Barbara..... Being in the bay made me realize that there is soo much more to life than just working a day job... everyday to pay your bills..... and I have been itching to move for some time now to either Brooklyn, LA, or SF....... and while Santa Barbara has great weed, nice beaches, and tons of really good mexican food... I think I need to move to a big city before I get stuck here......Also my currnet tattoo artist Nate, is moving to LA again.. So I might need to move down that way to finish my sleeve.....

Some serious reasons I would move to SF include:
1) Mike Giant and Rebel 8 are both in SF and I don't know if they still need interns, assistants or slaves, but I would be down....
2)The Graff scene is still alive and kicking... and I can produce street art with relative anonymity...
3) The Food.
4) Love Fest,Bay to The Breakers, Folsom Street Fair, and anywhere else you can run around like this:

5) The Trees (the kind you smoke)
6)Everyone rides a motorcycle
7)Raves are still being thrown
8)Metal/Hardcore shows
9)Baker Beach
10)Art...
11)Culture
12)A bigger population of REAL people.....
13)Culture
14)Homies
15)The Hundreds has a store, maybe they need some help/ A midnight floor mopping guy
16)Grime and Adrian Lee both tattoo in or close to SF

What do you think??? SF, LA, or BK????

sf...u forgot transportation...LA you'll need a car to get around and sit in traffic...SF all u gotta do is take a bus...they got OWL buses for those drunken nights...just be willing to cut down your living space and up your rent if u wanna live there...shitz real though...

Oh yeh I forgot about the Muni and the great public transportation.... I would have my bike in either city and I can park that shit anywhere and split lanes.... So sitting in traffic wouldnt be a problem.... but LA is big and spread out, and SF is all pretty much right there.....

L.A has fine hynas, Fairfax district, amazing food, great weed (or so I've heard), tons of internships/jobs and there's a subway!

a homie just got hired at thla, and there are tons of connects out here.

L.A. all the way.

100 on that public transportation tip. Can't beat that. The subways, Rail systems..gotta love it. Brooklyn is cool as is LA and SF. I do hate though when a city become the mecca for everything and everyone.

Everybody moves there because there is "more culture there or more this and more that", "the scene is better" and "if i move here itll make me a star" or my favorite "im an artist, imma go be a strugglin artist in nyc"...shhhiiittt when was strugglin fun...fuck that!

Gotta love the cities though, if you say you dont then your lyin..but i dont want to pay out my ass for a location ya know..I think culture is everywhere, in everything..a scene can be created..people are always looks for spots to chill ya know..

dick, i live in east los! city terrace to be exact. my friends drag me to the king taco in pico all the damn time. i'm not down with that place, sorry.

everyone keeps sayin' they can't comment, but if i did it correctly, i handled that.

porn is for pansies. become a groupie. best of both worlds.

@ tbg.... Yeah I have heard the "I'm gonna be a struggling artist in NYC" thing plenty.... but thats from kids who never grew up broke..... fuck that..... and I totally agree culture is everywhere and a scene can be created in any city...

i'm from the bay, and moved to la. the bay has all the dope stuff you listed, but one thing it doesn't have that la has, and that's job opportunities. in my opinion (or at least in my job demographic) la is where you want to be. oh, and to that girl that said la has good trees. you're wrong. the bay has the best chron. quality and price wise.

oh, but i will agree with stephanie on the fine hynas part (seeing as to that's where i met my lady.) the bay has a lot of tree hugging non arm pit shaving smelly hippies. don't get me wrong. i love the bay, but the beezies are on broke back mountain status.

Word...I have been leaning towards LA just because of the job opportunities... From what I hear there is STILL jobs in LA even in this fucked up economy.....

And LA would be more of a career move... right now I'm doing nothing with my talent and creativity....but making good money.... LA I might just be able to get a job that I can use my creative genius and hopefully turn it into a lucrative career...

Switch, if you ever need any help at Obey, hit me up......

I'm actually leaving OBEY to go back to The Hundreds. I am looking for writers for The Feed as well as an intern for another project I'll be working on. Email me a resume, and I'll see what I can do. switch@thehundreds.com
